Nim
Nim
An experimental prototype for a new line of magical automatons, called Nimblewrights, this construct called Nim hails from the far magi-tech nation of Lantan, far south of the Sword Coast.
Nim was brought to Waterdeep as a gift to the Temple of Gond, donated by Zardoz Zord. His intentions were to showcase the newest ingenuity of Lantan so that he might find prospective buyers and sell more nimblewrights to the wealthiest of Waterdhavians.
Nim himself does not have any special features to his build, with the exception of a feverishly bright and inquisitive mind. Incapable of auditory speech, only sign language, Nim stays in his attic in the Temple of Gond, permanently bound to the grounds by way of a magical enchantment.
Recently, in the month of Mirtul, Nim, in his loneliness, built himself a companion, using tools that he stole from around the temple. The companion was a nimblewright much like himself, but something went wrong during the construction of this friend. Shortly after the unlicensed nimblewright became self-aware, it fled the temple in a panic of confusion. Not bound by the same enchantments that Nim is, the errant nimblewright escaped the premises, getting lost in the City of Splendors.
