Nur Zi

Nur'zi is one of the most famous individuals within boundaries of the Glittering City. The common folk see him as a righteous man, supporter of the arts and the prominent leader of the reconstruction effort of the Shaded District. He's the owner of the prestigious Stepping Stones Orphanage.
He first introduced himself via a magical scroll, harassing the group trough cryptic messages in order to garner their attention. Upon meeting Amelia, Fionna and Hallie, he told the girls he ordered Thalnar to excavate the obelisk beneath Kor Doguhm, as it held the key to free Lament from Dwarven grasp.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A dashing, but serious-looking darkling, with a fit body and a noble-like aspect.

Facial Features

A handful of his hair is kept braided, held in place by a golden-like ring containing a ruby. His face has somewhat straight, severe lines.

Special abilities

Nur'zi has displayed minor control over shadow magic, being capable of conjuring jet-black flames at the palm of his hand.

Apparel & Accessories

Nur'zi dons a full dark suit, with a long jacket and a buttoned shirt whose collar stretches all the way to his chin. He carries a closed silver locket around his neck.

Personal history

At some point early in his life, Nur'zi escaped the dwarven blockade and reached the surface. There, he did whatever he had to in order to accumulate both power and wealth.
For the past century, he worked on building a reputation for himself within the city of Novaria, despite the surface-dwellers innate prejudice against darklings.

Nur'zi believes the ends always justify the means, believing the sacrifice of few is justified, as long as it brings joy to the many.
