The Amesi besiege Dragonstrand, declaring war on the United Cities and starting the First War of the Broken Faith.

Following decades of tension between the United Cities and the Amesian Diarchy, the Amesi finally decide to take the offensive, launching a military expedition upon Dragonstrand, a neighboring city-state and member of the confederacy. Albeit the city is taken by surprise, Dragonstrand endures the violent siege, surviving the onslaught of the disciplined Amesi forces. However, the Amesi were relentless and, after a month of harsh conflict, the garrison of Dragonstrand seemed on the brink of collapse. Reinforcements from the confederacy arrive just in time to bolster the defenders, forcing the Amesi forces to retreat after suffering heavy losses. In the following years, several minor battles and skirmishes took place in the borders of the two powers, but these conflicts had little to no strategic relevance. Exhausted by the struggle, both sides of the conflict sign a non-agression pact on the 16th of Nua, 949, putting an end to the bloody war.
