Izetha

Created by

In the beginning of time, the Gods created a group of angels to protect the creatures living under the rule of the Gods. As time went on, the angels got jealous of the creatures, believing that they have squandered the gifts of the Gods. For hundreds of years the angels fought amongst themselves. Under the influence of the angels, the creatures started war after war on Izetha. With wars raging and the planet burning it caught the attention of the Gods. The Gods came to Izetha and demanded to know why they were spilling the blood of others and destroying the once beautiful planet the Gods had crafted just for them.   When the Gods found out that the angels they had created to protect these fragile creatures had not only influenced the wars but had also been fighting amongst themselves the Gods were overwhelmed with different emotions. Some wept for the lives taken in senseless violence, some wept for the planet, once beautiful, vibrant and full of life, now burning and dying. Others, however, were overcome with rage at the angels. For, how could those meant to protect, incite such horrible acts.   After many years of deliberating on how best to punish these angels the Gods could think of no better punishment then to ban them from the heavens and turn them mortal. For the angels to understand just how precious these creatures were to the Gods, they must live and walk among them. Upon hearing their punishment, the angels pleaded for a second chance. Alas, the Gods had already made up their minds. The angels wept, knowing they would never be forgiven for their sins.   One Goddess stood on their side against the rest of the Gods. Tamara, the Goddess of Forgiveness. She alone spoke on behalf of the angels. She suggested that the angels have a chance to prove themselves worthy of forgiveness, claiming that all creatures even angels, should have a chance to atone for their sins. This sparked debate amongst the Gods. Eventually the Gods agreed and told the angels that, while they were going to be banished from the heavens, they would have the chance to prove themselves worthy of being welcomed back. While they walk the earth, they must prove that they can and will do whatever is needed to protect those who are left in the world. They will be sent trials and tribulations by the Gods and they must succeed at defeating these challenges.   Once all was said, Lord Ao , the God of all Gods, stood before the angels and stripped them of their wings and armor. The angels were then sent to Izetha, but as children. They were born into the world as mortals, with no memories of their lives as angels. Now, they must find each other, defeat the challenges sent by the Gods, and prove once and for all that they are worthy of being welcomed into the heavens once more.
