The Lords' Alliance

The Lords' Alliance is an organization formed by sovereign lords, ladies, kings, and queens that serve as a group of political peacekeepers after the Gith Occupation. During the Reconstruction of Jade, the members previously in the Council of Kings were in desperate need of assistance in the ruling and controlling the populace of their countries. Normally, The Council of Kings would've been able to provide financial loans, resources, and troops in times of emergency. However, in an effort to destabilize the world, Gith Overseers ventured to all reaches of the world, hunting down kings and queens and their families. This left many countries, including the usual base of the Council of Kings Arenthia, without proper leadership at the top of their hierarchy. This caused civil wars and conflicts between lesser nobles. Many countries were forced to leave this seat of power open, as the Gods had bestowed crowns that could only be touched by the heirs to the thrones. The Crowns only faded to dust if the bloodlines were completely severed (an indicator for the Gith Inquisitors to keep looking for the Jade Royalty). During Reconstruction, leaders were needed to rebuild. The remainder of the Council of Kings could not handle this project alone, and invited Lords and Ladies that wished to join the pact for peace. Today the Lords' Alliance serves as a political peacekeepers and humanitarians, but their own power is limited to the resource donation of its members. This leaves the group to high amounts of criticism, as many see it as a good idea but nothing more than that.

Structure

A High Lord of the Alliance is elected every two years to serve as the head of the administration, but most legislation is voted on by the Alliance Council. Each Country in the Lord's Alliance gets equal votes in the Council.

Culture

The Lord's Alliance believes that all countries should have equal opportunity to stay alive and receive trade benefits, should they take an oath of military neutrality and attempt all diplomatic solutions before engaging in any wars.

The Public Agenda for the Lords' Alliance is simple; to preserve peace and assist reconstruction efforts all over Jade.

Assets

The Lord's Alliance often suffers from shortage of money and other assets due to the reliance on donations from member states.
