Estua is a cosmopolitan nation, the dwarves control the north, the orcs control the west, the rest are ruled by King Arthur Izador. From the elven city of Nil'nui in the far east to Westwood, all are ruled over by the King from Newtongrav. Most outsiders believe he only rules over the human settlements in the centre, this is not true. Izador has been King for forty years, since his coronation Izador has lived in his fathers shadow, attempting to undue some of the legacy his father had created. He has been regarded as a kind and noble leader, bringing wealth to the nation and not just his home city of Newtongrav.

A Redefined Legacy

Markos Izador, Arthur's father, was a strange and cruel man. By no means a bad leader, Markos was very much a sadistic man. Markos ruled with a iron fist, he defined his legacy through cruelty to his enemies, from a no survivor policy in war, to to inhumane punishment to anyone who breaks the law. Though his sanity was constantly in question Markos was not without his benefits, he set up embassies for all nations within the city and established the largest monastery to Pelor in all of Jafare. Markos' rule came to an end when during one of his "episodes" he defenestrated his eldest daughter Tyra out of his throne room a hundred and fifty stories.

Arthur was present during this moment, he threw himself out of the window after his older sister and cast feather fall on them both. Saving her from a gruesome death, Izador upon arriving on the ground immediately charged back up the tower. On this day he dethroned Markos, and banished him from Estua. Though Tyra was next in line, she abdicated in favour of her siblings rule instead. Arthur accepted the role of king and spent many years undoing the legacy of his father.

The First Confederacy Of Jafare

During the beginning of the Istartian conflict King Izador was called upon to aid in the discussions from various nations of Jafare as to what do do about the Istarti and their annexing of Whupbril. He proposed a confederacy to deal with the Istarti for those who wished something to be done, this was an popular decision amongst his party as the two main speakers were not of any one nation, but were instead two mercenary groups; that of the Dawnstars and of The Heroes of Teskelia, he considered them to be neutral and not pining for any political benefits.
After listening to the arguments for involvement, both for and against, Izador and the rest of the committee decided that the Istarti would not stop their conquest until they had come for the rest of Jafare. He along with President Windfall of Iarwynn, King Gabriel Credence of Candor, King Thetsu of Teskelia, King Kragwick Togwinborn of Bondstone and the Jarls of the Donheil Isles drafted the treaty of the first Confederacy of Jafare; an agreement to stop the Istartian threat before it becomes any greater. The treaty and subsequent war was a success, and Estua received Dragonsgrave after the death of the emperor and defeat of Istartian armies, after gathering many resources for Newtongrav, Izador released the land back to it's rightful owners.
This victory in war cemented King Izador as the one of the greatest leaders in Estua history. Showing his skill as a politician, a general and as a fighter. He fought alongside President Windfall on the battlefield, though he had no full armies himself, he aided the war with supplies both magical and war.
