The Founders of the wastes.

The founding Fathers of Hus Firma and Hus Grata, the Donheil brothers were legendary heroes of Jafare. They set up the six major towns of the Donheil Isles. However the story of there exploits before and after have been lost to time, the ongoing war has meant most documented histories of the lands have been past down from father to son, becoming more distorted and bias. After some time travelling together, both brothers mysteriously dissapeared, and the war between Hus Firma and Hus Grata began.
The War of Brothers
Depending on which faction you ask, the war started for one of two reasons. If you ask anyone from Hus Firma, they will tell you the legend of the Donheil brothers, a valiant and noble set of twins who started many of the towns that make up the Icy wastes. One day one of the towns started to declare the war on another, Firma tried to to stop the attacking town and Grata betrayed him, choosing to instead join in on the raping and pillaging. If you ask a resident of Hus Grata why the war started they will tell you that it was Grata who attempted to stop the town from violence and it was Firma who betrayed his brother and people. It was thought both brothers died in the conflict.
Re-emergence of Grata
During the Istartian War the heroes of Teskelia ventured into the frozen wastes looking to rally at least one of the faction to aid in the war, to impress Jarl Mirokor the group ventured off into the chasm to find the axe of Grata Donheil, instead they discovered Grata himself, exiled for over two hundred years. Grata explained that when a war broke out between the two isles the brothers went to keep the peace and settle the discourse, but were unprepared, Firma took a lethal blow and died. In his rage Grata burnt the whole settlement to the ground, women and children in all. Later when he realised what he had done he exiled himself, hoping that the brothers tragedy would fade into mythos.
The Heroes of Teskelia were able to convince Grata that his people were in dire need of leadership, and so he left his exile to take his place as leader of the Donheil isles. He rallied the men into fighting off the Istarti from there land, and take the war to them. After the war, Grata realised he was not made to live simple life, he felt uncomfortable around his clansman. Grata soon left his people, realising he is born to defend the Donheil isles, he cannot lead without his brother.
