The role of president is an important one in High Elf society, as it is the highest honour bestowed to a member of the people of Iarwynn and its surrounding communities. The Presidents two main responsibilities are the betterment of the Iarwynn as a community and the relationships of the high elves with Jafare as a whole. To be president of Iarwynn is a great honour and a serious responsibility that is only given to the most capable of High Elves.
Umeran Windfall is one such High Elf, she is one of the greatest of the Elves in the history of Jafare, she has been the leader of Iarwynn for nearly four hundred years. In this time she has fought wars, toppled tyrants, boosted the Elven economy and survived many assassination attempts. She is now in her Fifth and final term as President and is currently supporting Biramani Silverflute for the next election.

The First Confederacy of Jafare

During the beginning of the Istartian conflict President Windfall was called upon to mediate discussions from various nations of Jafare as to what do do about the Istarti and their annexing of Whupbril. Against the recommendations of numerous staff she held a quiet reception for those who wished something to be done, this was an unpopular decision amongst her party as the two main speakers were not of any one nation, but were instead two mercenary groups; that of the Dawnstars and of The Heroes of Teskelia.
After listening to the arguments for involvement, both for and against, Umeran and here committee decided that the Istarti would not stop their conquest until they had come for the rest of Jafare. She along with King Izador of Estua, King Gabriel Credence of Candor, King Thetsu of Teskelia, King Kragwick Togwinborn of Bondstone and the Jarls of the Donheil Isles drafted the treaty of the first Confederacy of Jafare; an agreement to stop the Istartian threat before it becomes any greater. The treaty and subsequent war was a success, and Iarwynn received monetary compensation from Usnium after the death of the emperor and defeat of Istartian armies.
This victory in war cemented President Windfall as the one of the greatest leaders in Iarwynn's history. Showing her skill as a politician, a general and as a fighter. She fought on the Red Plaines of Usnium alongside elf, dwarf and man, proving to any in doubt that her campaign promise to the people of Iarwynn of "I will not ask anything of you, that I shall not also endure" was true, she has fought and bled for her people, and will do so again if needed.
