Bald head, yellow eyes and soft tanned skin. The appearance of the fallen aasimar is a sight to behold. He has ruled the city for 150 years with an iron fist. As a former guard captain of the previous tyrant he was mastering the leadership of Al Sotha before he ever saw power. Many nobles in Al Sotha believe Dawnkiller is the very soul of the city. Born into slavery many years ago, he earned his freedom in the gladiatorial arena, became captain of the guard and pulled the city back from the ashes almost single-handedly.

Humble Beginings

Born to a slave woman Vikafri learnt quickly that his role in this role could be one of predator, or one of prey. It was not a difficult choice. He became a gladiator at the age of fifteen, fighting Kua toa and other simple creatures one on one. He became an adept fighter, slowly becoming one of the most powerful fighters in all of the pits.
At the age of twenty five, he earnt his freedom fighting a stone giant one on one. As such a prized fighter he was offered the role of bodyguard to the Sultan himself. The sultan had become a fan of Vikafri after watching him slay many a fighter week after week. He became captain of the guard not long after.

Taking advantage

During the last revolution, when the mercenary group known as the Dawnstars came to liberate the city did Vikafri Dawnkiller take advantage. He defended the Sultan well, however during the fight the Goliath known as Torvin Stonebreaker tackled the sultan out a window of the tower. Using this sudden calm in battle as a distraction Vikafri killed the dwarf Dunver, and used his death as an escape. 
In the following months after the revolution Vikafri became the voice of reason in the rioting, pretending to be a man of the people he helped uncover the escaping slave owners and aids to the last Sultan. He used this new found power to get himself elected as the new Sultan. Once in power, Vifraki slowly began to bring back the old rules, gently at first, enslaving the previous slave owners, selecting aids who seem to have a similar lust for power, and eradicating any dissenters. The plan worked and for the last 150 years Vakafri has ruled uncontested.
