Wen Sagrev

The Star Of The Sands

To many the Elven land of Wen Sagrev is but a myth, told by ancient elves of Udriotho about their long since dead cousins of the sand. But in recent times, this magical land has returned. However, Wen Sagrev is unlike any other place in the world. Smack in the middle of an inhospitable desert there is a glittering city of indulgence and lawlessness and cheap sin that has specifically engineered itself to obfuscate your sense of time and keep you there as long as possible, all while they take you of all your valuables. The question becomes then, why would anyone ever visit? The answer; entertainment. In Wen Sagrev, anything is well and truly possible. Money, wine and women are in abundance, dazzling magical acts are performed every night for crowds of onlookers, all you have to do is indulge.

The Hidden Home

The city of Wen Sagrev is encased in a magical aura, protecting its inhabitants from not only the climate of the land, making the desert sun less scorching and the cold nights much less cooling, but also a protection from anything that may wish to find them. While in Wen sagrev, all creatures within the city walls are under the effect of the spell Nondetection, making them immune from being targeted by any divination magic or perceived through magical scrying sensors. Originally this was to hide the city from the Dragonborn during war time, now it is used by anyone wishing to hide from their past.

Gamblers delight

The largest industry of Wen sagrev is gambling, there is a casino or betting house on the corner of every street. Some have good odds, others....not so much. Gambling in Wen Sagrev is however policed quite severely by the law of this town though, as every business in Wen Sagrev pays tax to the Emir. If this tax is not paid, then the city guard has been known to burn the offender's palace to the ground. Money is everything in Wen Sagrev, and messing with the Emir's money is not advised.   The Largest of all casinos in Wen Sagrev is The Crimson Arc Casino, with over three hundred tables playing games every single day and night, this palace of wagers employs ten percent of the population of Wen Sagrev. Its owner, Fael Flair, is said to be very good friends with (and part time lover of) the Emir himself. The Crimson Arc is the height of attractions in Wen Sagrev and has become a hub of culture for visitors to the land.
