Ratté, Charles-Aimé -WW2- ✞
"A" Coy reached their objective early, without encountering any opposition. While firming up the Coy came under mortar, shell and SA fire. 8 Platoon on the right came under direct fire from an Atk gun, and led by Lt C.A. Ratte, they neutralized the fire of this gun and then attacked across marshy ground to ensure that the gun did come back into action. They reached the gun position and then came under fire from an MG and suffered 9 casualties. - The Algonquin war diary reports on October 20
