Mistress of Tides Pearl Galdwell (a.k.a. Pearl)
Eris Galdwell rules the Temple of Grasping Water as high priestess. Supposedly she has been at the helm of the temple for several hundred years. She has found the fountain of youth off shore and has potions of immortality gathered from the spring.
Thusly many have tried to impress her and gain the elixirs for themselves. None have succeeded Her high priestesses are given sips to slow their life but not enough to halt its progression.
Eris has also been successful in terms of negotiating with the crab people that live on the wrack shore. Oddly enough given their short lifespan they have never craved immortality and she has been able to relax amongst them.

Eris likes to keep young boys around her. She could be compared to a female version of Sharyar. Demanding boy toys to be sacrificed to Ayasha after they have pleased her and made her feel appropriately young.
Gender Identity
Eris grew up a a woman in a mans world. She has a need to be perceived as being attractive as a female but identifies as a male from the respect of power and therefore is a mix between male and female identification.
Education
Eris 's education comes from what is stolen from the Reef sharks on raids. It also amounts from the immense wisdom she has acquired by being around so long.
Employment
Some refer to Eris as the direct link to Ayasha. Offerings are made by nearly every ship setting forth from Portsmouth.
She wast the daughter of the harbormaster Reef shark Gere Galdwell as such she has always been served or been a manager in town. Though she has served on pirate crews.
Failures & Embarrassments
Eris's greatest failure would be failing to bring Paulo Gardan to heel. She had been the primary power figure in Portsmouth for the longest time. A criminal is increasingly supplanting her word. While she has been an expert in manipulating alliances her business acumen pales in comparison to Gardan's.
In the past 25 years while Gardan has been the dock warden her power has been supplanted. This is what one might consider supreme professional embarrassment.
Mental Trauma
Eris witnessed her father Gere Galdwell murdered at the sight of the fountain of youth by Gere's quartermaster whom she thought formerly loyal to him. She in turn murdered Troy Barrows. As a result of this event such does not earn trust easily, which also explains her attitude towards disposable romance.
Morality & Philosophy
Operates from the standpoint of being the avatar of religion that serves her but also protects and reaps benefits for a great many people.
