Mandi Flowers Leyla
Mandi Flowers Leyla works for Smythes Street Fleecers as one of the teasers of the swell mob and lives at Smythes Laundry Her technique is to engage the mark in buying flowers while one of the small urchins makes off with the contents of their pockets or purse. Thus Mandi has two jobs one a street thief and a cover job being a flower costermonger. Largely she sells lilacs because she knows where they grow naturally under the docks and it doesn't matter how many she sells, but she stops by a flower cart every morning and picks up a small supply of other types of flowers to sell. Mandi can't resist singing. And she collects songs about flowers to help in her sales. She sings while she works, broadcasts from the balcony at Smythes. She has fantasies of singing in a musical hall but honestly she lacks talent however she does not lack hutzpah. Dierdre Whate loves her singing and encourages her to sing below while she works.
