Turunz

The Turunz are a race that exert the largest degree of degree of control over the Orion arm. The form a massive interstellar empire that harbors many dozens of species in it.
Their government is similar to that of a feudal realm. Many different dynasties from several great clans are tasked with maintaining the empire. As far as tolerance for other species goes, it is a must. The majority of the empire's population is non-Turunz, after all. They rely heavily on local cooperation with other species and have also faced many large, but localized, rebellions due to poor handling of the situation.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Turunz take an odd shape of a body suspended by two pairs of legs. The first one pulls out to the rear before planting down behind. The second pair casts up and out to the side far enough in front to balance them. One more pair of limbs cast down from the torso in front as a pair of arms
The Turunz also have many pairs of eyes, and look almost spider-like in their appearance. Their mouths, however, are more like jaws with tooth-like structures as opposed to mandible.
It is unknown what type of environment these features adapted for, as the Turunz left their home world many tens of thousands of years ago and few records remain from that time.

Ecology and Habitats

Although it is unknown what their original homeworld was, the planet that the Turunz call their capital is very dry and arid.
