Adopted daughter of Ethel Mezezi, Mezzerra did not take to the throne for herself until she was nearly sixty years old, although she had been an official co-ruler since her mid twenties. Her reign continued on her mother's, largely focused on administrative changes and improving the central government's power. Though she also spent some effort on expanding the country's borders.
