Personal history
The earliest ally of Zeus Olympia, Metis crafted a potion to aide in his emancipation of the Olympian siblings festering in their father Cronus' stomach. After Zeus defeated his father and took the Throne of Olympus, he married his rescuer & influential mind. Metis sat at her husband's right hand, grounded him with advice. A child grew, their first.
And Zeus heard from an Oracle that the son Metis bore would better him. Would usurp him as he usurped Cronus.
Zeus fashioned a plan, and tricked Metis, into being swallowed. There, she died. In the same way she saved the Olympian deities from.
Her daughter, Athene Olympia eventually bored her way out of Zeus' brain with gargantuan headaches. She never knew her mother.
