Niles Breakbone
Commander Niles Breakbone lead the forces of the Order of the Gauntlet within Chult. He was a bombastic and arrogant man, thought dedicated to the Order's ideals, was ill suited for such an operation, though he would blame the troops before understanding his own failings.
He lead the excursion of the Order along the River Soshenstar, making an initial base of operations under the shadow of the House of Man and Crocodile, at Camp Righteous. He was forced to withdraw after a late night undead attack, much of their resources lay abandoned. They were able to regroup and rebuild the fortifications at Camp Vengeance, where the remaining forces were constantly under threat from the weather, the heat, disease, and attack from aggressive local tribes. their scouting parties also had to contend with the undead being a constant threat South of the river.
Commander Breakbone held his people in place, until three weeks later Undril Silvertusk and a group of adventurers arrived with new orders for him. He ignored these orders, but during that evening there was a large undead attack upon the camp itself, and some magical occurrence caused the river to swell up and flood the entire camp. Niles was found inside his command tent, having drowned in his heavy armour. he was succeeded by his second in command, Perne Salhana.
