Tej

Tej is a popular, locally produced alcoholic drink. It's amber in colour, made from fermented honey, very similar to mead but slightly more spiced. It's more favoured here by the common folk than beer or ale, which has to be imported, and so generally Tej is cheaper in Port Nyanzaru. Even many nobles prefer tej, though they'll serve and drink more expensive wines around visiting ambassadors and dignitaries.
