Deities in Jushara

Deities in Jushara were the most powerful spiritual entities in the realm. They were classified in several different ways, but are presented here in terms of relative power.
Almost all divine, daemonic and spiritual entities are powered by Belief.
This includes awareness of the entity and strong emotions, active "belief", and active worship.
Most of the entities in Jushara draw their strength, their existence, from this belief, from the smallest spirit of the Tree in a tiny villages green, to the Primordial Deities themselves. This power is not one way, however, and the more thought and belief is applied to an entity, the more they were shaped by those beliefs.
This resulted in nearly infinitely powerful Primordial Deities, who were acknowledged by nearly every living thing means they had a strong tendency towards neutrality.

In contrast, the Major Deities, who came into existence in the Age of Apotheosis were much less powerful, comparatively, and much more influenced by the creatures that gave them form and metaphysical substance. Major Deities had vast influence of the mortal lives on the mundane plane, and this led to conflict between many of the Deities and their worshippers.

Both of these effects were further amplified for the Minor Deities of the world, who typically had divine domains and spheres of influence that were much more highly specific than their older brethren.
Minor Deities, could, however, manifest on the mortal realm with much greater ease than their more powerful Brethren.

Daemons were technically no different than other spiritual entities, but are classified differently. Daemons were the manifestations of the uglier parts of life. Violence. Fear. Cruelty. This led them to abuse their power, to spread their influence, which then caused them to gain more power. After the God Wars, the Daemon Princes were locked away, along with the vast majority of their lesser fellows.

Demi-Deities are entities that do not have the power to be called Deities, but still were empowered by the belief of the world. Demi-Deities could take many forms, such as dead martyrs, famous heroes whose deeds won them massive acclaim, powerful monsters, terrible villains and other entities that compelled strong emotion or belief in many peoples.
Spirits were the lowest tier of this category of entity. Spirits could range from the most feeble spark of sustained belief to the sapient powerful spirit of a volcano or legendary sword.
