Okuul (oh-cool)

The Okuul was a traditional Calibani institution, centered around a significant number of academies. Some okuuls exclusively taught magical practices, while others also taught mundane educational courses as well. Okuuls played a significant part in the socio-political environment of Caliban, functioning as both social and academic fraternities, as well as easy shorthand for the various political groups which developed from them.
The Seven major Okuuls of Caliban held the bulk of the social and political weight, but there were numerous smaller Okuuls that played a role in the governance and culture of the region
