There are different spells to cause different types of physical transformation in objects. The characteristics affected more often are:

color

weight (this one is quite difficult)

Secondary effects

Several modifications may cause other changes. Size changes specially, may distort the shape a bit, or affect the weight.

Regulations

While spells are not regulated, wizards are not allowed to use them without either experience or supervision.

The caster is responsible for any consequences, direct or indirect, of the modifications.
