Yokai are ancient, mythical beings native to the orient of Koryo. Yokai come in all shapes and sizes with inherent mystical magics. Yokai are tied closely to the land, and when the world was still young, they were revered as earth-bound gods. Most Yokai find humanoids interesting and are willing to coexist peacefully with them, some even choosing to swear fealty to a single master as their Ayakashi. Yokai have a variety of different personalities and quirks and they stand out even when compared to the other races.
