Lay of Cailiana (Kai-Lee-AH-nah)
Her stance was firm, her hearing keen,The Lay of Caliana is an epic song detailing the tale of the defeat of Dorzath, the Beguiler by the adventurer band The Blue Hawks, and the sacrifice of Cailiana Evengaze. Written by fellow teammate Mosela Pale Eyes, it is a moving and loving tribute to a fallen leader. The song is written in traditional epic narrative style, outlining the events of the great battle and singing the praises of Cailiana, the only fatal casualty among the Blue Hawks. It is structured with two verses of four lines, with an ABCB rhyme pattern, followed by a chorus, and then repeating the pattern. It finishes with 2 repeats of the chorus. There are 24 verses in the full song. The Lay is quite popular in Troyso, where it occurred, in Galieri, current home of Mosela Pale Eyes, and in neighboring countries.
Her gaze was clear and bold.
She led the way through ruined glade,
To Dorzath's warped and twisted hold.
