Hades
The domain of gloom, the underworld. An entrance to Hades was found at the center of the The Labyrinth. From there, the party proceeded down a series of tunnels until they found a river. A Ferryman silently rowed them to the opposite side, where they were beset upon by shades, who they escaped.
From there, the way lay through a dark wood, where they were set upon by hellhounds and angry spirits. But they came eventually upon a tower said to belong to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hecate, the Mistress of Magic. After finding entrance into the tower and solving Hekate's riddles, they beheld a series of mirrors that opened conduits to other planes. Going through the mirror which opened by answering a riddle about Love, they found themselves in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hades palace. After the Master appeared, he explained to them that Hades consisted of Erebos - the massive gloom where hordes of shades wandered for eternity, and the Elysian Fields, where, at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeus behest, he held an army of heroes, until they were needed to do battle. They learned as well that the realm had become overcrowded with shades, and that another place had to be found to house them.
After striking a deal with Hades, the party was instantly sent back from his throneroom to heart of the Labyrinth.
