The Corruption

The corruption that Malak, God Of Corruption unleashed upon the world was unlike anything that had ever been seen before. It was a dark, malevolent force that spread like a disease, infecting the minds and bodies of all those it touched. At first, it was just a whisper, a subtle voice that crept into the minds of the weak-willed and vulnerable, tempting them with power and promises of greatness. But soon it grew stronger, feeding on the envy, anger, and hatred that were its very essence.   As Malak's corruption grew stronger, it began to manifest in more physical ways. It twisted the bodies of creatures and beings, warping them into grotesque forms that were as twisted and malevolent as the energy that created them. The once-beautiful forests and meadows were now choked with thorns and brambles, and the creatures that roamed them were vicious and bloodthirsty. Some life while becoming physically warped, retained their pure hearts, forming new different races.   It was a dark time for the world, and the few who remained untainted were forced to band together in a desperate struggle against Malak and his corrupted followers which would become known as the The War Of Corruption. But even as they fought to contain the corruption, they knew that it would never truly be eradicated, that the darkness would always be there, lurking just beneath the surface, waiting for the next vulnerable soul to give in to its insidious whispers. And so the world lived on, scarred and changed by the corruption, forever haunted by the memory of what it had been before Malak's fall.
