Honey-Sand

Most of the sweetness added to foods in the lands of the Norlanders comes from honey, carrots or beets. One imported luxury ingredient from The Spice Lands is known as Honey Sand, and is a crystallised sugar prepared from canes grown in that hotter climate.
Rare and expensive it is included only as an ingredient for the finest and most costly feasts, and is rarely discovered outside the south.
