Kiya Kuba, Old Deus of Love

"Life is too brief to be spent growing old. Why be so dull when you have the capacity to be so brilliant! Come and join me in a dance and you will understand my dear friend."

Rumors floated around for months about a woman who was just a street performer that changed lives. It was always claimed that she never did it through magic or manipulation, she just sweetened the days of everyone who walked past with delightful comments or daintiful dances.   These rumors began to circulate with extreme speed among the common folk, stretching from the farthest reaches of the world. Shayu, Ur, Imperium, Gadencia, and even Zyraitix, everyone heard the tales of the woman and longed for just a glimpse of the fairy tale just to make their lives slightly better. The woman on the other hand lived in complete bliss of this situation. She walked the paths of the earth with kindness and compassion at the forefront of her mind, leaving her name rippling through the wind behind her.   Her ascension was almost entirely accidental as well. It was only when the rumors began to fade that her steps to the world above happened. She knew that there still needed to be someone who carried light, compassion, and love as she did, so she impressed them all. She found herself with her own latent spark of divinity and ascended to be the performer and Arisen many cherish to this day.

    Depiction:

Kiya Kuba was considered one of the most beautiful mortals in the world before she arose to godhood. She carries herself with a natural aura of beauty and self-confidence that shakes every man, woman, and anything else to their very cores. In her natural form, Kiya Kuba is tall and lithe with dark brown hair and fair skin. She is typically seen wearing a dancer’s ensemble made up of reds and golds laced with rings and other alluring trinkets. She rarely wears makeup claiming it detracts from her natural beauty.   Her status as an Arisen has not detracted from her humanity and compassion towards others either. She loves to maintain direct contact with her followers and enjoys revealing new worldly pleasures to them in particular. This string of personality traits also leads to her being a rather rebellious and impulsive Arisen as it is commonplace to not directly interfere with mortal disputes. These traits are also seen in the types of people who follow Kiya Kuba. Those who choose to stand by her name are tasked with merely enjoying life and spreading joy and love to others of the world.   Kiya Kuba stands for any adventurer who have the following aspects: someone who is looking to live life and love to the fullest, a person seeking out ways to bring light to other people’s lives, an individual who feels as if they need the light in their life.

    Enemies:

Kiya Kuba harbors no inherent ill will towards anyone. However this does not stop her from having disputes with people that she’d consider “enemies”. Agents of chaos and destruction or those who are foolish enough to follow deities like Anasi typically fall into that category.

    Commandments of Kiya Kuba:

    • Life is a flame that needs to be nourished and protected. Never forget to keep your light alight.
    • Worry not about the fate of yourself if it means you’re creating a better future. You’ll come out okay.
    • Being overly optimistic and loving with all your heart isn’t a fault! In fact it’s the best way to live life as you will be spreading fortune to all.
    • And of course don’t forget to have fun! You only live once… usually.
