Amaunator (/ɑːˈmɔːnɑːtɔːr/ ah-MAWN-ah-tor)
Amaunator is The Infernal deity of the Light domain. His alternate titles include The Yellow God, Keeper of the Eternal Sun, Keeper of Law, Light of the Law, The Firelord, and Lord of Flames. Amaunator is viewed as a harsh but fair deity, revered by many rulers, soldiers, and powerful wizards. He is associated with order, the sun, law, fire, and time.
Old stories about Amaunator describe how he took joy in heralding the presence of his avatar with a red-hot column of awesome flame. Comparing multiple records suggest it was more than 60 feet (18 meters) high and 20 feet (6.1 meters) in diameter.
Before he stopped manifesting as an avatar, records described him as having skin that shed golden light. He looked like a lanky, silver-white haired man with a white tenday growth of beard clad in a long, flowing, black or purple gown with silver or gold trims - the uniform of a magistrate. His voice was said to be audible for hundreds of yards in every direction, a hissing whisper mixed with disturbing crackling and popping.
While male pronouns are used to describe Amaunator, he would also appear fairly often in another avatar form as a woman clad in a flowing, opalescent dress with an image of a balance of practically see-through gold on it. When this manifestation appeared to a person, this person could determine whether they stood in favor or disfavor of the god by looking at the scale. If it scaled to the left, they could be sure to spend the next seven years in poverty, debt, and servitude while losing their fortune. If the scale tilted to the right, the recipient of the manifestation could expect good fortune in the material sense. If the scales were balanced, the recipient was receiving an invitation to enter Amaunator's clergy.
He also used to manifest as thirteen giant hyenas. These were said to be sent to punish people, or to avenge people who do not have the ability to do it themselves. Stories describe how when these hyenas appeared, they would kill the offender and tear the body apart, scattering it over an acre of ground.
Amaunator’s divine realm in the Infernal plane is referred to by his followers as the Keep of the Eternal Sun. He is said to make his home in the Palace of the Two Suns, a reference to the sun in the sky that can be seen from the Material plane, as well as the “Undersun” that is said to be deep below Kai.
Various flora and fauna have been associated as symbols of Amaunator’s favor. These include animals such as birds of prey (especially sun-falcons), cream-colored cats, pure white wolves, tan dogs, and white stallions, as well as monsters such as golems and takos. Followers tend to attribute him to golden lilies, sunflowers, yellow-eyed daisies, as well as topaz and all red-colored gems.

Disciples of the Sun-falcons
The benevolent branch of the three. They rigidly order their members' studies and behaviors and put their focus on the purifying aspect of their deity.
Disciples of the Eternal Sun
The malevolent branch of the three. They see fire as necessary for the renewal aspect of their deity, though some members' views on destruction are extreme.
Brothers and Sisters of the Purifying Flame
The neutral branch of the three. Their goal is to strike a balance between purification and destruction and act as the go-betweens of the other two monasteries.

Tenets of Faith
Amaunator preaches that people need to follow laws to the letter because laws are the foundation on which society is built on and disrespecting the law qill inevitably cause the collapse of any society. The same adherence is also extended to traditions. The Yellow God also teaches that people have to familiarize themselves with law to get an understanding of how to act in a proper manner that saves them from getting punished. He also wants people to be organized individuals who meet their commitments and are always on time.
His message also extends to the hierarchies mortals make for themselves. The Keeper of the Eternal Sun tells his followers to obey and adhere to the instructions of their superiors. The idea behind it is that faithful service will yield them rewards, while failure to do so will yield punishment. That said, those lower in a hierarchy are told to keep tabs on their superiors' decisions to increase the number of precedents to draw from, help to standardize rulings, and with it the relevance of Amaunator's message.

Ancient texts describe Amaunator as having sight that allowed him to discern whether someone was a thief or lawbreaker with a glance, as well as perceiving invisible creatures and objects. He could also use his eyes to shoot flame strike or sun-ray every minute.
Although the title of “The Keeper of the Eternal Sun” generally refers to the Infernal “Undersun” deep beneath Kai, Amaunator is considered to also hold sway over Kia’s sun. His followers believe that this gives him a plethora of protective abilities. He is said to be completely immune to light, fire, and heat-based attacks while enjoying complete immunity to illusions, phantasms, cold-based, shadow-based, and darkness-based spells as well as any fear or other emotion-controlling magic.
The Yellow God has been depicted as being capable of dispersing magical darkness either with a touch or, as long as said darkness was within 120 yards (111 meters), with a thought. His touch could instantly destroy all undead creatures vulnerable to sunlight. Every 2 hours, he could fill an area of 10 miles (16 kilometers) diameter for up to an hour with sunlight.
