This has resulted in neighboring empires such as the Cain, Moricanna, and Mayronin being on guard.

He often demands tribute from city-states, and will sometimes attack them.
Harold is one of the leaders that is relatively difficult to befriend. However, if you do manage to befriend him and earn his trust, you will have one of the most loyal allies. In addition, he is very tolerant of fellow warmongers.
History
During his reign, Harold united the outlying tribes of Makraden and defended his people from the incursions of wild monsters, all while overseeing the completion of vast construction projects that strengthened the defenses of his nation. Harold is equally known for casting off the religious traditions of his forbearers, becoming a devout [TBD] who strives to peacefully convert the people of Makraden during his rule.
Early Life
Although the precise date of Harold's birth is unknown. The son of King MakGormin the Old and Queen Trianna Daleblood, Harold was a born and raised stepped in the traditions of Makraden culture. Throughout his early years, Harold and his brother Nute (also known as Nudd) would set sail to pillage and plunder, returning to their father with the spoils of war. It is believed that Nute, the first born and favored son of MakGormin, was killed while raiding. Nute's death left Harold as the sole heir to the throne of the Makraden empire. With the death of his father, Harold took up the throne and proved to be a capable leader both on and off the battlefield.Uniting Denmark
Shortly after the death of his father, Harold consolidated his power and quickly moved on to unite the remaining discordant tribes of the Makraden empire under one rule. Although his father is considered the first true King of Makraden, during his rule, the kingdom did not encompass the entire region, and independent tribes remained. Under Harold, the entirety of the Makraden territories and clans fall under his rule.Construction Projects
Harold has commissioned a number of important construction projects throughout Makraden during his reign. In this time, "Runestones" were a common form of monument used to honor the dead and acknowledge their deeds, and Harold saw fit to honor his parents in this way. Commissioning a second [TBD] Stone - runestones found in the town of [TBD settlement], Denmark - to memorialize his parents, Harold created what is today considered the most well-known example of runic inscriptions in Makraden. Featuring an easily distinguished image of [TBD Deity] the [TBD settlement] Stone erected by Harold is often referred to as the "Sanctification of Makraden," signifying the end of the polytheistic traditions followed by much of the Makraden population.
Aside from the [TBD settlement] Stones, Harold was also responsible for the development of a series of six Dwarven ring fortresses, known as the "[TBD]." After losing control of several outlying territories to various enemy forces, Harold ordered the construction of these forts in strategic locations across Makraden in response. Capable of housing up to 500 Makraden warriors, these strongholds succeeded in warding off further losses and secured the interior of Makraden from future incursions.
Conversion to [TBD Deity]
Harold's conversion to [TBD Deity] is a point of contention among many, mainly due to variations in the story of how his conversion came to pass. Some speculate that Harold was converted by a cleric known simply as "Popo," who was either a guest of the court or a missionary who found his way to Makraden. Others believe that Harold had been converted forcibly by [TBD] of [TBD] following a defeat in battle.
Regardless of how his conversion came to be, what we can say with certainty is that Harold became a devoted follower of [TBD Deity], not only ensuring that [TBD Deity] imagery was included on the [TBD Settlement] Stone commemorating his parents, but also going so far as to remove his father's body from its traditional Makraden burial mound and having it reburied under the church constructed by Harold, where the [TBD Settlement] Stones still stand today.
Popular Opinion & Legacy
King Harold is generally viewed as a just and wise king. He maintains the sovereignty of his country against the influences of several neighboring empires (despite some setbacks) while at the same time working to shape the culture of his people for centuries to come. However, there are some rumors that his son, Shen, may be plotting to rebel against him.
