Hoar

Known as The Doombringer, Hoar is the vengeful deity of retribution, strategy and battle tactics, often invoked by those who sought to repay an eye for an eye. They keep their true name secret, knowing that if anyone discovered it, they would gain insight into every strategy and war plan throughout the planes. The Liege of Strategy's dogma dictated the use of careful tactics to wage war, for only through masterful planning could lasting victory be won.

Worshipers

Hoar's worshipers include seekers of vengeance, bounty hunters, jailers, headsmen, army commanders, war instructors, quartermasters, strategy writers, generals, tacticians, lawful-minded warriors and paladins alike. They rarely hold official sermons or participate in organized worship. The god's name appears on the lips of those seeking vengeance. Hoar's hand is said to be responsible for unlucky accidents that take the lives of wrongdoers. If one wanted to seek vengeance on another by praying to Hoar, it is believed that writing prayers down makes them more likely to be answered. To ensure a long-lasting reach for prayers, some vengeance seekers carve them into items made of lead. These are then buried to keep others from knowing about them. Besides those seeking justice, Hoar is worshiped by bounty hunters and some assassins. Prayers to the Hurler of Thunders are uttered before operations. The most devout among their worshipers try to emulate Hoar by killing or capturing their marks in an ironic style. Some pirates who survive unfair struggles of life came to worship Hoar. Along the southern regions of the main continent of Kai, Hoar is worshiped as a deity of revenge. In Northern regions Hoar is seen as the deity of poetic justice.

The God of Revenge can produce spells from any divine sphere or school of magic. However, they prefer wielding illusions, charms, and magics that affect the weather. With careful use of these spells, Hoar can craft appropriately ironic tools to smite their enemies. Additionally, Hoar can cast any spells of electrical nature.

The avatar of the Doombringer can easily swing their massive two-handed sword, Hand of Retribution, with their right hand, while dispersing javelins of lightning with their left hand. When in battle, Hoar likes to use variations of Bigby's hand, Caligarde's claw, or Geirdorn's grappling grasp. Unlike mortals, Hoar can concentrate on three similar spells simultaneously without having to drop them in close combat.

When Hoar's avatar claps their hands or stomps their feet, it creates a deafening blast of thunder, similar to the effects of the Great shout spell.
