Session 14: Spawn of Tiamat Report
General Summary
You chased the lone surviving half dragon to the obsidan doors leading to the next chamber. Deciding he couldn't be trusted, you slew him without accepting his help.
You entered a room with the skeletons of 5 dragons, all displayed in differing poses.
You saw a towering statue of Nuudraphos, which posed a question in exchange for enterance into his burial chamber
Corvus resorted to the knowledge of Cyäegtha to find the answer. Relaying this information to Djordin, she spoke the answer to the question, opening the next chamber
By this time, Frekonys had already completed his ritual. Verus was slain, and a black dragon wyrmling flew through the tomb
After a brief, yet extrodinarily bloddy fight, Frekonys and the remainder of the black scaled Kobolds lie dead, bringing an end to the Cult of Aziyoth
Though this was not before the dragons delivered a fatal blow to the loyal Rekenov, bringing a tragic end to his storied life.
Corvus, seeing all his allies besides Hogarth unconsious, evoked the name of Cyäegtha as a means to distract the newly born dragon, a name which he seemed to recognize, saying "devourer"
Sceptical of Corvus' claim, the dragon landed directly infront of the warlock, seemingly asking for proof of his claim.
Proof was given, as the shadowy tendrils of Cyäegtha exploded from Corvus' chest, twisting and breaking the wrymling to the point of death.
In a last ditch effort to escape his fate, the wyrmling fled the chamber, but was struck down with the force of Corvus' eldritch blast, bringing an end to the spawn of Tiamat.
With the battle complete, Hogarth sprang to action, stabilizing Finden and reviving Djordin with a health potion. With the cleric of Lolith now awoken, she rushed to the body of Verus, evoking the power of the queen of spiders to return life to the body of the barbarian
All actions have consequence however, as Lolth remarked that stealing a soul from the dragon queen would come with a price.
You looted the temple, finding several useful items
After Verus awoke, he wrapped the body of his fellow gladiator, and began to mourn his death. This was joined by Finden, who opted to carry his body back to the ship
To deal with the Cyclopses, who still awaited their now slain cows, Finden cast conjure animals, tricking the giants into thinking that the soon to disapear fey were indeed their lost cattle
