The Watcher and the Prince

Eons ago, as the realm of man began to emerge, Demogorgan, the prince of Demons, sought to escape his internment in the Abyss and wreak havoc on the creation of the gods. To meet him, the gods sent Helm, the Vigilant One. He stood at the edge of the Abyss, and waited. When the two heads of Demogorgan clawed their way out of the Abyss, Helm stood strong, and cast him down into the infinite darkness. Legend says that Helm still stands guard at the entrance of the material plane, thwarting any Devils or Demons who seek to wreak havoc on the lives of mortals.
