Jaspar was kept as a pet of the Mind Flayers aboard the Lucent Edict before they were all murdered. He was found in a cage within the Lucent Edict's mess hall by Captain Elaina Sartell, Ithryn Galaxath, Lailyn Vatumleth, and Thriss Valdiiryn. Lailyn chose to kill Jaspar rather than risk him getting loose.
