Common Etiquette rules

It is not customary for a Para'ka to give their song, or their life story, to the strangers they meet. Their goalis to hear the songs of others and allow others to discover the Para'ka's story as they grow to know them, so that the name they give is genuine to the Para'ka's soul.   Royalty, in particular, are not expected to hear the Para'ka's song, nor are they obligated to name them.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

It is customary for Para'ka to be raised by their entire town. The child is passed from family to family until they are old enough to survive on their own, at which point they set off on a journey to find their true calling.

Naming

Para'ka's primary spiritual goal is to find their Ra'aan -- their God-name; the name deemed closest to their hearts, which the Gods themselves granted them. As they travel, the people they meet, befriend and stay with will call them by whichever name they deem fit. Thus, the Para'ka will go through dozens, sometimes hundreds of names before they find the one that fits.
