Gnomes

One of the smallest beings in the realm, known for their kind nature and their team work. They are able to craft pretty much anything and bless it with magical abilities. They make great nimble warriors. They can be found in the enchanted forrest east of the great white city and now throughout the realm setting up communities in all places lush with wildlife and greenery. Most take up gardening jobs in local towns and villages. Some even live in the gardens of humans which are accommodating to them and charge the humans a modest charge of gold for tending to their gardens. A garden Gnome has been known to live to 200 years of age which is presumed extended due to their love for eating magic mushrooms. They normally only have a family of two children in their lifetime. Gnomes being the second rarest beings in the realm before the star elves of the the mountains. It is said the further they live from the magic wood that bore them the smaller they will become until eventually they can no longer be seen. We do not know if this is a myth to keep them from straying from the woods, but gnomes that choose to live away from the woods are noticeably smaller that their Woodland kin.

Origin

It is said the star elves came across this race when exploring the enchanted forrest the elves named Gilgalad, they appeared from what seems no where dwelling in mushrooms, in and under trees, well known for their pointy little hats and rosey cheeks. At first the forrest seemed empty but seeing such a beauty and glow of the elves they slowly emerged bearing gifts from the woods.

Subraces

Garden Gnome

Living in the garden of whom ever is willing to pay the gold, if you are lucky enough and have the space they may even choose to raise a family next to your dwelling and guard your garden and house at all costs they are loyal happy little beings. Hair colors much like humans, but unable to grow beards until they are elders with grey and white hair.

Woodland Gnome

Woodland Gnomes are the closest to their ancestry and remain where they have always been in the magical woods living amongst the wild life and the woods that have keepen them protected for thousands of years. All woodland gnomes are from the enchanted woods. This race of gnome is slightly bigger than the garden and river gnomes, Some believe that the woods keep them big and the further they stray the smaller they become.

River gnomes

Gnomes of the river live on the river bed spending most of their time fishing in tiny boats up and down the small streams living a simple life minding their own and will occasionally trade fish with wandering adventurers looking for food. They have a strong alliance with the Lake Elves sharing a love for aquatic life and the beauty but look the live along the smaller rivers. They can be found north of the rolling hills.

Druid (River Gnome)

Race: Gnomes Age range: 0-200 years Hair: They have all the common hair colours, but Gnomes of the Enchanted forrest have been known to have blue and green hair. Their head hair naturaly grows upwards. The eldest of their kin have great beards which have been known to reach down to their feet. Build: 3ft (but can be smaller depending on their birthplace, Garden gnomes can be around 2.5 ft to 3ft) Language: Gnomish and Common. Skills: Carpenter, Botanists.
