Crydean
The isle of Crydee is a refuge of knowledge and has one of the few actually intact cities from Pre-Notime still standing. The City of Vidllena, is hidden from all but those loyal to the Crydean throne where the speaker of the stars sits and rules.
A Crydean sees the world as a dry old tree with very little life left in it. There are a few good branches with some leaves on it that still need tending, while so many of the branches are old and need to be pruned. They generally feel sad for the state of Kaladas but are quick to add that all would have perished if Notime did not happen.The thought is the island of Crydee are all that remains of the old world and it needs to be protected at all costs. So there borders have been closed to all non elves except for a few ambassadors and visitors given a quick stay with a cold welcome.
The Crydean elf feels that the Eldorian empire became slothful and passive, they lost their fire, this infected the other races making them too a stagnate culture. The Crydean elves believe that at the end ( or the beginning ) they showed up during the final battle with the Uruk on the shores of Eldoria,taking them to the isles.Here was to be the place to regroup and return to reclaim the lands once the Uruk turned in on itself.So it is thought.The elves blame humanity for the war while Humanity see the Crydean elves as betrayers and cowards,but not to often to their faces as elven magic is a power beyond any human wizard and most people think every Elf is a spell caster.
The Crydean is welcome throughout the lands but generally treated cold and official so they are rarely seen in the Stolen lands.When they are it is usually as an ambassador or envoy. Adventurers are rare but have been known to wander the lands, usually to locate odd artifacts.
When the lands now known as Ulatas was first discovered in the crusades there was much debate as the amber woods proved to all that it was inhabited by elves of all races before Notime. Many ruins were discovered deep in the woods and many fey blood felt the yearning of home here. A debate began on where was the homeland of all elves, Most agreed that here in the Amber woods was the true homeland not some far away island they have never seen. But the high blood elves contested that Crydee was the homeland they all sought.The Elves at the time were split, many felt that their hearts were in the amber woods and so joined the rebuilding while there were those that felt the Isles were the true home. They each went their own separate ways into history.
There are elves of all species in both Ulatas and Crydee but the isles holds a majority of High elves while there are very few in the Amber woods.
