Lord Trenton Trell, Earl of Ostenwold
Duke Trenton Trell comes from a long line of Knights of the realms. He is most known for his defense of the battle of Arkanshan ford giving aid to the Codringtons and saving hundreds of lives. Unfortunately the Duke of Haildonia blames him for his father and brothers deaths. The truth from the Trell perspective is that Trenton ordered a tactical withdrawal and was able to save many lives, while the Codrington perspective is one where he is blamed a coward and ran from battle leaving his family to die at the teeth and claws of the blight. This two sided view has not gone unnoticed by the people of the borderlands.
The two provinces have open arguments in council and on one occasion Duke Codrington drew his blade in anger towards the old knight. This slight has not been forgiven or asked to be, to this date.
His Eldest Son , Sir Bryan Brightheart Trell has recently returned from traveling abroad. It is said he now wears the emblem of Terak as a chosen holy Crusader. He has taken the oath of battle and sworn fealty to the glory of the church.Sir Bryan has been applying pressure on his father to join Duke Codrington and push for another crusade to wipe out the blight once and for all. While his father is deeply upset that his eldest was chosen as a crusader and due to the oath will not be able to take over his seat as master of the house of Trell, which now goes to his second son Charles Trell, this does not sit well for the Duke as it is known that he spends his days drinking and causing problems with the locals.Lord Trell would like nothing better then to change Charles ways but as even the common folk have witnessed on many occasions that the father and son do not see eye to eye and on a few occasions he has been beaten in public for his insistent poor behavior.
This leaves the young Faywen Trell.as the next option for an heir.Only 13 summers old, Faywen is loved by the people for her kindness and her gentleness with the sick. The people say she is on the path of joining the White hands of Morwyn, not as a future Duchess. In a less inhospitable country she would be well received as the ruler but her temperament is seen as to soft in these parts.
Lord Trell has recently been seen hiring teachers of Naryne clergy of the goddess of nobility, to train her to know her place. This has spun tales of gossip up and down the province.
