Telepathy without proper consent is frowned upon by most Oql and Rela. Children of all walks of life build mental gates to shield themselves from unwanted telepathy. Most telepathy is felt by the recipient (as one would feel another touching them). Because of this, other creatures and wrong-doers are constantly trying to cloak their intrusion. Telekinesis is akin to an extra limb for the creature. It has no physical presence, thus can move things in more novel ways such as an orb of water or from behind a wall. Most only have one “tendril” they can use to lift things, unable to lift two things far apart from each other (though some are able to use multiple tendrils, such as some creatures having more limbs than another). The strength and area of the tendril is also on a Oo by Oo basis, everyone able to grow in strength.

Telepathy

Since the mind is a sub-aspect of the The Soul, it makes sense that telepathy is highly connected with the soul. Thought exists within the soul; thus souls overlapping would share thought. The soul is localized within the body, but it is malleable, has different density from one part to another, and radiates from the body with one’s aura. An aura is an organ of the should, just like consciousness and thought. In fact, just like the physical body, the soul has various “organs” that help the lifeform function. Because the soul exists in the aspect of the universe of the suzal, organs do not need to exist in one “space”, they can move, change density, overlap, change “size”, and more.

Bringing it back around, if two mind “organs” overlap, telepathy is had. Telepathy is a two-way street, reading another’s mind allows for them to read yours. The way (primarily) to circumvent this is to keep the other party unaware [as to] what is happening. EX: distraction, attacking while sleeping, overwhelming or overpowering, having very little overlapping that they don’t notice, or other forms of deception. Aura’s tend to overlap when attempting telepathy.

Most lifeforms have formed an organ to protect their thoughts like a skull or exoskeleton protects the brain. This is the “mind gate”. It acts passively but can be strengthened with will and effort. It is the first and primary defense against unwanted mind-melding. Because, since thoughts overlap, one stronger party can influence or even change the thoughts of another. Hypnotism is a very real danger.
