Bastion

Bastion is the "civilized" name given the County of the Oxford-Bastion forest. The area of the Oxford-Bastion Forest was once traversed by the Basti'ce Peoples, as such they laid claim to the ancient ruins that scattered the area and used it as the base of their tribal society.
When the Imperial Dominion of Spayle united the Basti'ce Peoples, the Basti family was given this land to oversee, but the trappings of the luxuries provided by the Dominion caused them to pursue other interests.
The peoples of Bastion, leaderless and betrayed, turned to banditry to survive and thus the area became synonymous with thieves and highwaymen.
