Dwarkon (d'war-con)
Small humanoids with thick bodies, beards, and accents and never get taller than 4'. This makes them largely unnoticed even as children, to the point where it is unknown to most that they are, in fact, Lorkin - albeit without the ability to disguise themselves as their short stature gives them away. However, they are a trusted race of people all over Kaldra, due to their assistance and support through years of chaos after the fall of the Old Kaldran Empire. Because of this, most other Lorkin resent them and claim they have it too easy. True Dwarkon, of course, usually don't care in the least.
Dwarkon are extremely good Geologists and have used their knowledge to help the people of Kaldra, but always for a price: Mithril. They've pretty much cornered the market on metals all over Kaldra, with Mithril being their primary focus, making them highly esteemed among most cultures. Most of them make up the Miners Guild of Golton and have their own whole mercantile confederation within the kingdoms where they reside. Most all ore and metals in Kaldra are touched by this organization.
Outsiders exist that are reclusive, but usually Dwarkon are highly involved in their cities and towns, being treated fairly (for the most part) and (somewhat) equally. They take up professions of blacksmithing, forging, mining, and armory.
