Vizar Cataclysm

A terrible war on a massive scale, the Vizar Cataclysm (sometimes called the Ancients War) is heralded all around Kaldra and while her different races tell sometimes very different stories, the general idea is that the Vizar turned on themselves, enslaving races they thought to be weaker or lesser than them and pitting their forces against one another, eventually ruining much of Kaldra and killing most of the population.
The story of the Ancients turning on each other holds several benevolent figures noted in different history books. Most of which name a Vizar called "Houl". "Chazuno" and "Minora" are mentioned in different texts, but nothing as diverse as "Houl", who is mentioned in every culture's rendition of the story.
Several common threads among the different cultures of Kaldra are as follows:
1) The Vizar turned on humanity and each other 2) The Vizar died at the end of the war 3) The end of the war broke the world - separating much of it from mankind's grasp, and became known as The Fracture. 4) "Houl" is the hero of the story, saving mankind by sacrificing himself.
