The Assemblage of Mages

Magic users around the world had faced an interesting age. While magic flourished under the rule of the Torva’Ir it found itself slowly waning in the new age.   To combat this a large group of Mages, Sorcerers, Warlocks and more convened at an event called “The Assemblage of Mages”. Their goal was to ensure that magical teaching and knowledge would not slowly dwindle in the world. While Guilds of Mages existed, they were too insular for the Assemblages liking, and too profit driven.   To this end they created the Schola Magus, an academy for the education and knowledge of magic and all its uses.   The Schola Magus was placed deep underground, in a region only accessible to those with the magical ability to create portals there. It has stood as a place of magical learning and records since this time, and is respected throughout Kalin for its efforts to maintain education and knowledge of the Arcane.
