The Strakan Expedition

Straka didn’t have access to rivers and oceans like their fellow Fallen Cities did. Instead all they had was their formidable airships. Using this advantage, the army of Straka traveled across the Southern Sands with a vast force to try and conquer new territory.   They encountered the Mernite Sovereignty, and war broke out. Not much is known about the Mernite’s except the fact that they had easy access to gunpowder and most of their army was in fact armed with the weapons.   The Strakan expeditionary force was eventually forced to retreat, though it did put Mernite on the map, though few possess the ability or will to travel that far over the burning sands.
