A LOOK INTO THE SCHOOL FOR POLITE SOCIETY, RORSA

THE DUKE OF MONTAGUE

The Duke of Montague has been attending Rorsa for nearly four years, having entered at the young age of nine following the death of his parents to the Croskin Plague. Well known throughout the school for his mischief, he has only ever been proven guilty of instigating three pranks, despite the many accusations leveled against him. Never one to shy away from speaking his mind, he informed Rayvor, during our visit, that he was ‘one of many fleas employed to gather useless information for the overly curious public.’ The Duke has consistently refused to acknowledge responsibility for any pranks that cannot be definitively traced back to him.

THE POWDER PUFFS

‘The Powder Puffs’ as the rest of the boys at Rorsa call them do not approve of that name, preferring to call themselves ‘The Fashineers’’. However, they are more well known by the other name. The Powder Puffs are a group of five boys who pride themselves on their fasion sense. Greston Lave is the eldest and the leader of the group at the age of seventeen andhas his father, the Earl of Tersa as a good guide. The second boy is only a few months younger than Mr. Lave and is no other than the young Viscount Yaer. The third and fourth, Ollie and Orrem are the eighth and ninth child of His Grace, the Duke of Kramt are just turned sixteen. The fifth lad is Prince Tyal, the son of King Aladar’s first cousin. He will be sixteen in June.

PROFESSOR MARCH

Professor Eclan Marsh, one of seven mathematics professors at Rorsa, has just reached his forty-fifth birthday and is a favorite among the boys. His teaching methods are often seen as unconventional, as he frequently turns lessons into games, yet most of the boys agree that they learn the most from him. Though known for taking a firm stand against cheating, he is considered too soft-hearted by some.

PRINCIPAL RAYLOR ANIMAS

Principal Aminas has served as principal since its founding, having taken the position at just twenty-five. The boys hold him in awe, and many admit that without him, they would likely find themselves in much more trouble. Interestingly, those who get into the most trouble seem to trust and adore him the most.

WALLY, THE LIBRARIAN

Wally Colsi wears a perpetual scowl, especially when boys enter his library. When asked about it, his explanation was brief but clear: "If I smiled, just imagine how much more mischief they would cause!" He remains irritated by several incidents over the past year, including the mysterious rearranging of every book in the library, the unexpected transfer of notable books to the dining room, and the morning he found a large family of rats on his desk, complete with a comfortable bed.

Honoring Tradition, Building Gentlemen

THE FOUNDING OF RORSA

Rorsa was founded eleven years ago by Sir Marsan Rorsa, following the close of the Third War of Hardavan and at the height of the Croskin Plague. His goal was to create a place of learning for boys of noble titles, hoping to ensure that royalty would survive despite the ongoing horrors. The institution has been growing ever since.

BASIC RULES

Boys are usually enrolled at the age of eleven and board at the school except during holidays. An exception is sometimes made for orphans, as in the case of the Duke of Montague. Admission requires the recommendation of five titled gentlemen (excluding courtesy titles). Parents and family may pick up boys every Tuesday afternoon if desired, provided they return them before nine o’clock in the evening.
