The City of Cray

The city of Cray sits on the shores of Ochindal, bustling, busy and loud. It is considered one of the most exciting cities on the continent of Brysken, and around the holiday’s it is even more busy.
Cray is especially full of partying sailors and merchants, and at almost all hours of the day, it is possible to find a group of tipsy sailors stumbling their way towards their ship to go back to work, earning more money to waste in six months’ time. The houses of Cray are some of the brightest colored houses in the country, painted every color of the rainbow, and all the colors in between. Many of the streets are named a certain color, such as Red Street, or Purple Street.
Many tourists go there just to visit the ‘color’ streets, which are great fun to see. Red Street’s houses are all painted varying shades of red, as well as their wagons and many of their personal items. The flowers at the houses on that street are all red. On some of the streets, it is even banned to allow other colors.
The houses in Cray are on the higher side of price, despite the fact that many of them are very low quality, because of the popularity of the city. Even the slums of the city are brightly colored, and kept in cleaner conditions than most cities.
Cray has a reputation for never sleeping. The lights and parties run on all night and can vary widely. There are tavern parties, where anyone from the highest lord to the lowest beggar are welcome, there are beggars parties, royalty parties and family parties.
The city of Cray deals highly with lots of silks and fabrics in the upper part of the city, while in the lower part, almost every kind of fish that can be caught with in thirty miles, sometimes more, is available for sale. Anyone who leaves the lower part of the city, will find that a lingering smell of fish will follow them for a few days. However, that never seems to deter anyone from visiting the area, as there are many things, besides fish for sale.
