Housing of a common dwarfen family

The outer walls are made out of thick wood. If there are any windows than they are made out of a special semi-transparent paper. The Roof is either made out of red wooden shingles or grey clay shingles and the roof angle is about 20 to 30 degrees. Because of the everlasting darkness in the cavern cities, dwarfen families always light lampions at the front entrance. Those Lampions are either attached to the ceiling or on some columns at the entrance.   The inner architecture consists of a minimum of 4 to a maximum of 5 rooms. Those rooms are 2 bedrooms one is the parental bedroom and one is for the children. The living room is in most cases also the dining room and in very rare circumstances is it also the kitchen but in any case, the living room is the centre of the house. Next to the living room is the storage room. The most important room in the house is the shrine, where folks honour the spirits and ancestors. The interior design of the bedrooms isn't special in any way. The parent bedroom consists out of a large straw mattress and the bedroom for the children consists out of some small straw mattresses according to the number of children which is in the best case 4 considering that those rooms aren't very big. If the central room is indeed a kitchen, a living room and a dining room than the cooking station is in the middle of the room and the seat cushions are set next to the station.
