Biological mother of Herone Cleft.

Vikas married Charya for love. She was a seamstress that worked briefly for his mother before they fell in love. Charya was from a family of weaponsmiths who had produced exquisite weaponry for elite soldiers in Etude for generations. Much to the disappointment of her family, Charya didn't have the physical constitution nor talent that her family expected of an eldest child.

She died younger than most from a surprisingly severe case of a pneumonia-like illness. It came on quickly and killed her before anyone realised how serious the sickness would be.
