Maenar

The Oathbound Lord

Far below average for a human, if their petite form bothers them you'd never be able to tell. The aura of confidence emanating from Maenar seems like a physical force that keeps others, even other Primis, at a distance. Most people wouldn't suspect this soft-spoken person to be the leader of an entire pantheon of powerful deities.

Divine Domains

Good: Pledging their lives and souls to goodness and purity, Maenar can sometimes lends a sacred benefit to others, and their more experienced disciples can even manipulate arcane energy and weave holy power into weapons and armour.
Nobility: Deities who devote themselves to the Nobility domain are natural leaders who inspire others with their words. Those who devote themselves to Maenar often find that others flock to them looking for guidance and protection.
Justice: Maenar is a pillar of justice and the fair treatment of others. They do not always abide by the letter of local law but promises fairness within the structure of their own code.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Icons associated with leadership and royalty are also intrinsically linked to Maenar among common folk. Their worshippers frequently wear stylized emblems of crowns and the various shades of orange and vibrant yellows that Maenar is known to wear.

Tenets of Faith

Espousing the tennents of law and the power of pacts, Maenar leads their faithful worshipers to make reasonable promises and follow established law with goodwill. They view deceit and subterfuge as unethical and despite knowing that harmless falsehoods can be helpful or even kind, they will not allow even the slightest untruth to remain. Maenar will never lie and they are always strightforward with their followers when the choice is made to communicate - no mysterious visions or cryptic messages.

Based mostly on how the legends and myths portray their behaviour, many of Maenars followers have turned away from the long-established norm of having only a single spouse or romanitic lover. At no point has Maenar ever prompted their followers to make this shift, but over time it has seeped into many aspects of life within the human capitals. This comes into conflict with only a handful of cultures, and generally isn't a reason for instigating a outright hostility.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Maenar isn't a clever or devious deity and seeks to meet others, be they mortal or primis, on equal footing. They hate the thought that liars could take advantage of someone in need and always wants equality among people. To this end, Maenar chooses not to intentionally deceive anyone and feels compelled to expose any falsehood they might be aware of - especially those of other Speaking Gods, much to the chagrin of all parties.

Social

Social Aptitude

Despite being the commonly acknowledged leader of gods, Maenar is a quiet individual. They prefer to observe a situation before responding to it. This has given many the impression that Maenar is dispassionate or uncaring but in truth Maenar knows that rash action can lead to unintended consequences and painful fallout.

Maenar has a hedonistic streak which they frequently indulge. They enjoy casual romance and sexual relationships with any humanoid that strikes Maenar as appealing; aesthetically, intellectually, or personally. These encounters are never started through lies or deceit but most of Maenar's lovers are never fully aware in the true nature of their paramour. Maenar will usually maintain a tryst for days or weeks, being an attentive and generous partner during their time together until mysteriously vanishing and leaving a valuable, personal token of affection for their lover. Maenar tends to favour people with perceived potential.
