Zetna

Goddess of Invention, Innovation, and Science

Zetna is a deeply obeyed and much esteemed deity. Teaching is the dominant element that she divine being is associated with and her personality is often described as determined and wise. There are very few places for those seeking the aid or guidance of Zetna, but most worshipers wear accessories and clothing with her associated motifs are most common. Nearly all libraries have small shrines on site or somewhere nearby where people can make offerings to her before starting their work.

She is commonly invoked in prayer before embarking on a day of learning or research but she has relatively few followers devoted to her as a patron. She welcomes all who seek knowledge, not just scholars and researchers but also explorers, diplomats, and spies. Physically depicted as small, slim, and attractive, Zetna is usually worshipped through acts of learning, research, and discovery, or through the study of knowledge already accumulated.

Known for spreading knowledge wherever she goes, her main ambition seems to be simply spreading a thirst for knowledge among sapient species. It's impossible to know what, if any, may be behind her goals but thus far nobody has seen evidence of any hidden agenda.

Zetna is one of the few Speaking Gods that has very direct interaction with folk and has claimed specific interest in watching humankind mature as a species. Although still rare, there are signtings of her nearly every year and accounts of individuals having long conversations with her, usually about a specific scientific or arcane project they're working on. She rarely appears to the truly pious and seems to prefer spending time with skeptics and individuals who will question what they're told.
