What would you do if the Clockwork Dragon disappeared? What if a Copper Dragon had lost its voice? What would you do then?   The land of automata, Karakuri No Kuni, is a world run by mechanized beings that run their gears to the very core of the planet. This world still contains a vast amount of organic life, but even intelligent beings never dare underestimate the automated genius of the puppets that have created skyscrapers the likes of which no mortal being could fathom. At the same time however, if not for one reason alone, the puppets would have been long destroyed.   The Clockwork Dragon is the very core of this world. It's gears run through the roots of the world and it constantly keeps everything in balance. This dragon had given birth to the automata from its own metal in order to protect the land it had given so much to take care of. These mechanical puppets are the only thing keeping the world from falling apart, but some still harbor hatred towards these puppets due to a legend passed down throughout history.   Before the Clockwork Dragon had placed its gears against the very roots of the world, the land itself had a common core of magical ether. The legends vary with the organic beings believing that the dragon had absorbed the ether and taken it into its own body in order to spread its reach through multiple planes, but it underestimated the power of the ether and nearly destroyed itself, tying it's own body to the roots of the world in order to survive. Meanwhile, the automata are raised with the tale of a world that was dying and standing on its last legs, and in the midst of this impending destruction, the Clockwork Dragon, the oldest mechanical creature, comparable to that of a god had fused its body with that of the planet's core in order to sustain it with its everlasting engine, the Sirius Star.   Whatever the truth may be, many accept the fact that the automata have kept peace flowing through the world, and due to this there are many areas where both flesh and machine coexist, living as one. However, some wonder how much longer this peace can last, while others have learned a dreaded secret which they know not how to approach.
